Victory Chapel Family,

This past Sunday I preached on Engage. James 4:8a, "Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you…." If we move, God responds! That's the pattern for a life, and it's the pattern for a church.

So here's where we are at the midpoint of the year.

THE FRUIT // Average Sunday attendance is up 44% over the last twelve months. This year we've seen 5 people filled with the Spirit and 3 baptized. These are individuals and families who drew near, and watched God draw near to them.

WHERE WE STAND FINANCIALLY // Income is $81,975 year-to-date, down 17% from last year. At the same time, our reserves are healthy: total savings of $71,528, up 2.5%, and total assets of roughly $114,900. And we’ve given $12,994 so far this year (15.8% of our income) to Global Missions, North American Missions, Kids Ministries, District Offerings, and Benevolence. That giving is a testimony. Thank you for engaging in faithful stewardship: not from pressure, but from genuine love for God (2 Corinthians 8:7-8). The proof is in the giving.

OUR VISION // Everything we do runs on three tracks:

  • Connect — reaching others and connecting them to God.

  • Cultivate — growing deep roots through discipleship.

  • Commission — discovering purpose and being sent to serve.

  1. Faithful attendance — be here when the doors are open.

  2. Financial stewardship — give as worship unto the Lord.

  3. Prayer, fasting, and Bible reading — a daily walk with God.

  4. Sharing the gospel — invite someone who needs Jesus.

  5. Victory Groups — community where church happens.

  6. Serving — you were saved for a purpose.

WHAT'S COMING

  • First Monday Prayer — August 3rd at 7PM. Let’s start the month right.

  • Popsicles in the Park — Saturdays, Aug 1st & 8th, at 11AM. Children’s Park in San Marcos.

  • Back-to-School Service — Sunday, August 9th. Invite a family to join with you.

  • The King Is Coming — our new midweek series in August.

  • Evangelist, Jeremiah Klinedinst — Sunday, August 23rd.

  • Victory Groups — Fall Semester launches in September. These groups are the heart of what church should be, and they're where we meet people on common ground to lead them to holy ground.

Don't wait for God to make the next move; He already has. He came, He gave everything, and now it’s your turn. Draw near, engage, and watch what God does!
