Hi Victory Chapel Family,

I want to share an update on how God is blessing our church.

We have seen steady growth throughout this year, and Easter Sunday was especially notable with a record attendance of 88 people! Our average attendance for the first quarter of this year has reached 64. When you compare that to last year’s first-quarter average of 51, that is a 25% increase. We are encouraged by these numbers, but we know that growth is about more than just an attendance number; it is spiritual as well.

We saw a spiritual shift last Sunday during our service with guest minister Jim Oddo. It was a unique and powerful breakthrough that our church needed. As we read in Ephesians 4, God provides the five-fold ministry to prepare and build up the body. Brother Oddo was used as a prophetic and evangelistic vessel for us, and we praise God for the results: three were filled with the Holy Spirit and one was baptized in the wonderful Name of Jesus!

Additionally, several of you received a direct word during the service. I want to encourage you to receive that word with reverence and action. (James 1:22 NIV). The word God gave you, mixed with your faith and followed by your action, is what leads to the impactful change He desires to see in your life!

This will be a landmark service in the history of Victory Chapel. It is the result of many years of praying, fasting, and investing since the beginning of this church plant.

While we celebrate these times of growth, we also recognize that growth often comes with its own set of challenges. But we like a good challenge, don’t we? I want to encourage everyone to stay plugged in. The church is a place where spiritual birth, nurturing, caring, and sending takes place. You may recall, the vision of our church is to:

  • Connect: Reaching others and connecting them to God.

  • Cultivate: Growing deep roots through discipleship.

  • Commission: Discovering purpose and being sent to serve.

In other words, spiritual growth and discipleship take work! I'm thankful that God has brought us all together for such a time as this to be a part of Kingdom expansion here in San Marcos. God has a purpose and a place for you!

I’m excited to see what the Lord has in store for us next.
