WEEKLY UPDATE

VC Family,

Our midweek groups continue to be a weekly highlight, and it's been wonderful seeing new faces and making meaningful connections. We have only three weeks left this semester! If you haven't joined yet, please reach out this week and jump in!

Last Sunday, our message, "Keep Your Eye on the Prize," focused on our ultimate objective: Heaven. Drawing from Philippians 3:12-14 and John 14:1-3, we were reminded that we are strangers and pilgrims here. This world is not our home!

• Recognize the danger of distraction. The world can only offer temporary distractions. We must not trade our eternal destiny for a temporary, fake promise, as Adam and Eve did (Genesis 3).

• Recognize the urgency of time. Every person has two clocks ticking: our personal clock (James 4:14) and our eternity clock (Revelation 10:6-7). Since our "salvation is nearer now than when we first believed," we must "refuse to make provision for the flesh" (Romans 13:11-14).

• Recognize we are all running a race, and we have yet to reach the finish line. As the Apostle Paul modeled: "Forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus."

So, we must press on! No hurt, offense, or temporary pleasure is worth the loss of your soul. Keep Your Eye on the Prize: Heaven is worth it all!
